|The Army Learning Management Systems (ALMS) is the official source of web based training (WBT) for GCSS-Army. Students requiring a Certificate of Completion will need to take courses in that system, where the curriculum includes both the WBT and exams for each lesson, which must be passed in order to obtain the certificate. A post-class satisfaction survey is also available. The GCSS-Army WBT is considered to be a pre-requisite for the New Equipment Training (NET) taught in the classroom shortly before the system goes live.
Please follow the step-by-step instructions in the Quick Reference Guide(QRG) [PDF link shown at bottom of page] in order to register for and take GCSS-Army WBT offerings. Note that new students should take the first four courses (Overview, Basic Navigation, Intermediate Navigation and Using GCSS-Army Reports), followed by other courses in their functional area. The entire curriculum has been made available for ease of use; however, suggested Plans of Instruction (POI) for each functional area are shown starting on p. 21 of the QRG.
Registration for the GCSS-Army WBT is the individual student's responsibility. Once the student registers for class, he/she has 180 days to complete the POI or they will be automatically un-enrolled. The GCSS-Army WBT should be completed 1-2 weeks before NET training begins.
For problems with ALMS system, please call the ALMS Help Desk at (877) 251-0730. Please tell the representative that you registered for GCSS-Army-ALL - v2.0.
If you have any other questions, or have trouble with the registration process, please send an email to GCSSArmyTraining@ngc.com with cc to Antonio.firstname.lastname@example.org. We will attempt to reply in 24 hours or less (M-F, 0800-1700). A longer version of the Quick Reference Guide (the GCSS-Army WBT User's Guide) is also available and contains troubleshooting tips, which cover a variety of difficulties. It is available by sending a request to the inbox above.
